We answer within two working days. It helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it went wrong — a screenshot is worth a paragraph.

Widgets

How do I put a tin on my Home Screen?

Tap Publish inside the tin first — that is what hands the picture to the widget. Then touch and hold an empty part of your Home Screen, open the widget gallery, search for tinwidget and add a size. Touch and hold the new widget and choose Edit Widget to pick which tin it shows.

My widget is empty, or showing an old tin

Open the tin and tap Publish. The widget shows the last published version, so changes you have not published yet will not appear. iOS also refreshes widgets on its own schedule; publishing forces it.

Photos and stickers

A photo did not become a sticker

tinwidget lifts the subject out of a photo on your device. If it cannot find a clear subject it adds the whole photo instead, which is sometimes what you want anyway. Photos with a busy background or no obvious subject are the usual cause.

Can I use my own photo as a backdrop?

Yes. Open Backdrop in the add panel and pick Photo at the start of the row.

Sharing a tin

How do I share a tin with someone?

Open the tin, tap the ··· menu and choose Invite someone. They need iCloud turned on. Once they accept, you each decorate your own half of the tin. You can stop sharing from the same menu, which removes their access.

Purchases

What does the purchase include?

One payment, no subscription. It unlocks every sticker pack, every backdrop and unlimited tins, on every device signed in to your Apple Account.

I paid but everything is still locked

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore. Purchases are tied to the Apple Account that bought them, so make sure you are signed in with the same one. If it still does not unlock, email us with the date of purchase and we will sort it out.

Your tins and your data

Will I lose my tins if I delete the app?

No, as long as iCloud is on. Your tins live in your own private iCloud database, so reinstalling brings them back. Deleting a tin inside the app does remove it everywhere.

Where do my photos go?

tinwidget has no account and no server of its own. Your tins and photos stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. There is no tracking and there are no analytics. Read the privacy policy.

Devices

Which devices does tinwidget work on?

iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
