Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 September 2026

This page sets out what you can expect from tinwidget and what we expect from you. Using the app means you accept it, together with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which fills any gap these terms leave.

1. What tinwidget is

tinwidget is an iPhone app for decorating a little tin with photo cutouts, stickers and words, and putting it on your Home Screen as a widget. It is made by an independent developer trading as Kernbase Studio (“we”, “us”), based in India.

2. Your content is yours

A tin you decorate is yours — the layout, the cutouts, the words on them. We take no ownership of any of it, and since nothing reaches a server of ours, we have no way to look at it either. What we ask in return: put in photos you have the right to use, and keep what you make inside the law.

3. The important one: tinwidget is not a backup

Your tins live in your own iCloud, not on a server of ours. That means we cannot recover anything for you — not a deleted tin, not a sticker, not a photo. If you delete a tin, turn off iCloud, run out of iCloud storage, or lose access to your Apple Account, that content is gone as far as we are concerned.

Keep your original photos in your photo library. Treat a tin as something you made, not as the only place a photo lives.

4. Shared tins

Inviting someone into a tin shows them all of it, photo stickers included, so choose who you invite accordingly. The invitation runs on Apple's iCloud sharing, which means the contents never pass through us — we cannot read a shared tin, take anything down, or bring anything back. Something in a shared tin you would rather not see is settled between the two of you: leave the tin, or, if it is your tin, revoke their access from the ··· menu.

5. The purchase

tinwidget is free to start. One optional in-app purchase unlocks every sticker pack, every backdrop and unlimited tins. It is a one-time payment, not a subscription, and it applies on every device signed in to the same Apple Account.

Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details. Refunds are Apple's, through reportaproblem.apple.com. If a purchase isn't unlocking, tap Restore in Settings first, then write to us.

New packs and backdrops may be added over time. Anything the unlock already covers stays covered — we will not move something you have paid for behind a second purchase.

6. What you may not do

Don't resell the app, pull its sticker artwork or backdrops out for use elsewhere, or take it apart to rebuild it as your own.

7. Availability

tinwidget needs an iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Syncing and sharing need iCloud, which is Apple's service — when iCloud is unavailable, those parts of the app will be too. The app keeps working offline with the tins already on your iPhone.

8. Apple's part in this

These terms are between you and us only. Apple is not a party to them, and:

9. Warranties and liability

tinwidget is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We keep it working as well as we can, but we do not guarantee it will be free of faults or available without interruption.

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost data or lost content. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to what you paid for tinwidget in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law where you live, or our liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

10. Ending this agreement

You can end it any time by deleting the app. We may end it if you break these terms in a serious or repeated way. Either way your tins stay in your own iCloud, and refunds remain Apple's to give.

11. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of competent jurisdiction in India. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away the mandatory consumer protections of your own country. Please write to us before going to court — most things are settled faster that way.

12. Changes and contact

If these terms change, the new version is posted here and the date at the top is updated. Questions go to support@tinwidget.app.
